Flax flour with selenium, potassium and magnesium

In my review on the drug "Atenolol-Teva", I told you that my blood pressure periodically increases. In addition to pills, my doctor prescribed me a course of vitamins with selenium and magnesium and recommended Selmevit.
"Selmevit" (manufacturer of PJSC "Pharmstandard", Ufa) I ordered in an online pharmacy. Price - 153 rubles for a package of 30 vitamins. This amount is just enough for the course of admission. You can take vitamins and 60 days, there is an appropriate package of 60 tablets.

The drug is in a bright cardboard box, which contains basic information about the vitamin-mineral complex. Inside there is a detailed instruction where it is told about each component of the preparation.

Vitamins are packed in blisters, each with 10 tablets.

Pink tablets, quite large, but due to the smooth shell are easily ingested. Per day you need to take 1 pill, with increased loads and during difficult life periods, you can take vitamins twice a day.

The composition of "Selmevita" rich: 11 vitamins + 9 minerals. The drug contains vital vitamins (A, C, E, group B, PP), as well as lipoic acid, methionine, phosphorus, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, cobalt, calcium, magnesium and selenium. All components are balanced, their compatibility is provided with a special technology.

The main indications for the use of "Selmevit" are increased physical, psycho-emotional and mental stress. I do not have great physical exertion, but I do intense mental work and often experience stress. Therefore, Selmevit was appointed to me. In addition, my doctor said that the complex with selenium and magnesium has a beneficial effect on the nervous system, helps stabilize blood pressure, protects in stressful situations.

I have been taking “Selmevit” for more than a week and have already noticed its positive influence. Firstly, my blood pressure does not increase. It is clear that here the main merit belongs to other drugs, but vitamins also have a supporting function.
Secondly, I do not have a headache all these days (and in general, my head hurts almost every day).
Thirdly, I began to fall asleep faster and sleep became stronger.
Fourth, I'm less nervous and worried.
Fifth, the heat is now just hellish, and I carry it easier than usual.

Therefore, there is reason to believe that "Selmevit" really works. Recommend.

The use of potassium element

About potassium became known in antiquity. At that time, this element was widely used in the chemical industry, in medicine. Its benefits are:

  • normalization of the work of the digestive tract,
  • creating a normal ratio of water and electrolytes in the body,
  • production of protein particles
  • transformation of glucose particles into glycogen.

The daily rate of an element for a person is from 3 to 5 mg. However, nutritional adjustment does not help to feed the body completely, and therefore there is a shortage of mineral matter.

How does the lack of an element?

A decrease in the amount of a substance is easily identified by the following symptoms:

  • increased drowsiness,
  • chronic fatigue
  • muscle weakness
  • increased urge to urinate,
  • hand tremor
  • leg cramps,
  • slow heartbeat,
  • reduced blood pressure.

In order for the shortage of potassium to be confirmed, it is enough to perform a blood test. If a person is healthy, its amount will be equal to 3.5 mmol / l.

What threatens overdose with potassium?

The state of potassium overdose is extremely rare. It is usually accompanied by symptoms such as:

  • disorientation,
  • dizziness,
  • nausea,
  • dyspeptic disorders
  • arrhythmia,
  • reduced pressure
  • coma.

Often the excess potassium is indicated by the presence of erosive gastritis, intestinal ulcers, cardiac and respiratory failure. The reasons for the development of this state are:

  • misuse of drugs with potassium,
  • the use in large quantities of mineral waters containing potassium salts,
  • insulin deficiency
  • kidney diseases
  • hormonal disruptions
  • long-term diet.

Considering what an excess of an element can turn into, it is necessary to use drugs containing it, observing the dosage set by the doctor.

Useful properties of magnesium element

The benefits of magnesium are:

  • increasing energy reserves
  • restoration of cellular elements
  • increased absorption of B vitamins,
  • normalization of blood vessels, the prevention of their diseases,
  • strengthening cartilage, bone tissue.

Healthy people daily need from 350 to 450 mg of the substance.

What threatens overdose magnesium?

Use drugs with magnesium should be with caution, as their uncontrolled use can cause an overdose. Symptoms of the development of this condition are:

  • dyspeptic disorders
  • lethargy,
  • slowing or accelerating the heartbeat,
  • decrease blood pressure
  • reducing the amount of urinary secretions.

Macro properties

Magnesium is a component of the tissues of the most important organs. It affects the brain, immune system, adrenal glands, circulatory system, gonads, nerves, muscles. This macro is a catalyst in the synthesis of proteins, the production of hormones, the processing of sugar into energy, and also regulates muscle excitability.

The mineral activates enzymes for the metabolism of carbohydrates and amino acids, helps in the conversion and assimilation of vitamins B, C, E, as well as calcium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium.

  1. Bone mass
  2. To strengthen tooth enamel,
  3. Muscle relaxation
  4. Expansion vessels
  5. Reducing high blood pressure during hypertension,
  6. Improve immunity
  7. The bile compartment
  8. Relieve premenstrual state.

  1. Stabilizes the heart rate
  2. Maintains normal blood sugar,
  3. Reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes,
  4. Reduces cholesterol
  5. Improves respiratory function in diseases of the bronchi,
  6. Warns of migraines, pain in muscles and joints,
  7. Prevents depression
  8. It has anti-stress effect,
  9. Stimulates intestinal motility,
  10. Facilitates indigestion.

Causes and Effects of Magnesium Deficiency

Mg deficiency can be caused by:

  1. Chronic stress
  2. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract,
  3. Abnormalities in the kidneys,
  4. Long-term use of diuretics,
  5. Alcoholism.

Lack of this macro can lead to:

  1. Heart rhythm disturbance (arrhythmia, tachycardia),
  2. Heart attack
  3. Calcination of the walls of large vessels of the heart and skeletal muscles, which reduces their elasticity,
  4. Destructive phenomena in the kidneys,
  5. Fatigue
  6. Weather sensitivity,
  7. Dizziness,
  8. Nervousness
  9. Cramps
  10. Tremor
  11. Insomnia.

Magnesium in the body is found mainly in the bones. In practice, its deficiency can be determined by biochemical analysis of blood.

To maintain a normal level of Mg, it is enough to have a varied diet: regularly consume fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy and cereal products, fish. An adult needs 400 mg of magnesium daily, pregnant women and nursing mothers a little more.

Magnesium works best with vitamins A, E, B2, B6, calcium minerals and phosphorus.

Preparations containing magnesium may be needed:

  1. Supporters of fasting
  2. Growing children's body,
  3. Adults over 50,
  4. Obese people
  5. Women taking hormonal drugs
  6. Abuse alcohol.

Excessive intake of magnesium supplements can lead to diarrhea (magnesium is a known laxative), impaired kidney function, low blood pressure, muscle weakness and cardiac arrest.
