To preserve the harvest, collected in your own garden, or stock up on exotic fruits to feast on them at any time of the year, you should think about cooking from all that you have (perhaps in some surplus) excellent jam. The main component of any jam is sugar. Jam from different berries and fruits requires different amounts of it. But without this sweet component (or when it is short) neither apples nor oranges can be preserved for a long time. Recipe for making apple jam marmalade
As we have said, apples are an excellent fruit for cooking jam and marmalade, because they contain natural pectin, which easily converts the fruit mass into jelly.
To prepare such homemade marmalade, we need a jar of apple jam and a convenient baking sheet. We are sure to line baking paper on it, on which we level the apple sauce. Then the ready baking sheet with mashed potatoes is sent to the oven (temperature about 100 °), where it should be dried for 8-9 hours.
The output is very tasty and healthy homemade marmalade. For convenience, the finished sheet should be cut into small stripes, if you want, then you can decorate them with chocolate icing before eating.
By the way, such “marmalades” can be stored in pure form for a very long time, the main thing is to put them in a dry container.
Strawberry Jam Cake Recipe
To prepare you will need:
- flour - 2 glasses,
- grated lemon peel - 2 tsp,
- sugar (for the dough) - 0.5 glass,
- butter - 150-170 g,
- grated cottage cheese - 220 g,
- eggs - 2 pcs.,
- sugar (for the filling) - 3/4 cup,
- lemon juice - 1.5 tbsp. spoons
- Strawberry jam.
We cut the butter into small cubes, sift the flour so that it is enriched with oxygen. Mix it with pieces of butter, sugar for the dough and 1 teaspoon of grated zest. It is better to knead the dough with a special knife for cutting the dough, should make butter crumb. At this time we set the oven to warm up to a temperature of 180 °.
The baking mold must be oiled. Pour the finished dough into the prepared form and we thoroughly tamp it there, it should lie quite tightly. Then put it in a preheated oven, wait about 20 minutes - it should reach the state of semi-ready. When the edges begin to slightly blush, remove it and let cool.
At this time, we will deal with the filling. To do this, mix, rubbed through a sieve, cottage cheese with lemon zest, sugar. Then we put both eggs in there and beat the mixture until a homogeneous consistency, then add lemon juice.
When our dough preparation has cooled slightly, we grease it with strawberry jam, and distribute the whipped curd filling on top. After that, the cake must be baked for another 20-23 minutes, then remove, cool and send in the refrigerator for 3 hours. The pie is ready! This recipe, which allows you to make an appetizing pie from jam, can be diversified with other types of toppings: for example, apple, cherry or raspberry jam.
Biscuit Jam Recipe
- sugar - 1 tbsp.,
- flour - 1 tbsp.,
- eggs - 5 pcs.,
- soda - 0.5 st. spoons
- salt - a pinch.
For fudge and filling:
- sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons
- cocoa - 4 tbsp. spoons
- butter - 3 tbsp. spoons
- jam (apple, pear, cherry).
To begin with, we set the oven to warm up - to a temperature of 220 °. Then we separate the whites from the yolks, and begin to whip the whites separately at the highest possible speed until a thick and airy foam is formed (approximately it will take 7-10 minutes).
After that, we begin to add one tablespoon of sugar, while it is important not to stop beating, while slightly slowing down. Now, when the sugar is completely dissolved, you can add the yolks, also by itself, we introduce them carefully, one by one. Next we add flour, it is necessary to introduce it at the lowest speeds, knead everything well, add salt and soda.
Now you need to prepare a baking sheet - lining it with parchment paper. And then, using a spatula, gently distribute half the dough over the surface so that a not too thick cake comes out. We send it to the oven for literally 5 minutes.
Then we quickly get our finished cake, spread the towels on the table, and then, very carefully, turn the sponge cake over it, remove the paper from the top and, as soon as possible, coat it with jam.
After that, the dough with jam should be rolled up, then we perform similar actions with the rest of the dough. To biscuit roll turned out even tastier, cook fudge. To do this, we melt butter in a small container, add some water to it (about 4-5 tablespoons).
Now mix it with sugar and cocoa, mix thoroughly. It turns out quite thick and sweet fudge, which we decorate on top of the roll. We are waiting for it to cool down, after which our biscuit delicacy with jam is ready.

- jam - 150-200 g
In a saucepan, diluted with 750 ml of water, bring to a boil and filter it. Rub the residue through a sieve. Now add sugar, a little citric acid (optional) to the pan and bring it to the boil again. In 250 ml of water we dissolve starch, then pour it into the syrup, stirring constantly. As soon as the pan with jelly boils - remove it from the stove, cool and pour into cups.
