Heart and vessels

Of course, a visit to the bath directly affects the functioning of the cardiovascular system:

  • It activates the blood circulation processes.
  • It leads to the expansion of capillaries under the skin and increased peripheral blood circulation.
  • It makes the heart work especially intensively (the heart rate increases to one hundred and twenty beats per minute in healthy people).
  • This increases the level of cardiac output and there is a significant increase in the speed of blood flow.
  • Muscles and internal organs are actively saturated with oxygen.
  • Blood pressure indicators are rising.
  • After leaving the steam room or dipping into cold water, sharp narrowing of the vessels occurs, and then they expand again - to effectively get rid of excess heat.

Of course, a healthy body receives from such loads only benefit. Vessels and heart train, become stronger and more enduring.

However, in the presence of various pathologies of the cardiovascular system, it is better to refuse visits to the bath and sauna. After all, such loads can be deadly. Especially harmful rest in the steam room can be for people:

  • Lung ventilation increases, breaths become deeper and more frequent.
  • The organs of the respiratory system are filled with hot air, which usually contains essential oils and other volatile compounds.
  • The airways are cleared.

However, if there are any problems in the activities of the ENT organs, the steam room can be categorically contraindicated. This applies to patients with:

  • Inflammatory lesions of the respiratory tract.
  • Oncological diseases.
  • Chronic decompensated respiratory illnesses with heart overload.
  • Tuberculosis.
  • Bronchoectatic disease.

However, doctors allow visits to the bath at the first symptoms of an impending cold (but only in the absence of fever and severe symptoms of intoxication). If you take a good steam bath, you can avoid further development of the disease.

Liver and kidneys

A visit to the steam room affects the activities of the whole organism, including the excretory system:

  • Due to the increased sweating stress on the kidneys is reduced.
  • Heating activates the activity of the gallbladder.
  • In the bath, the body is cleared of various aggressive substances, which contributes to the unloading of barrier liver cells.

Nevertheless, doctors warn that in some conditions it is better to refuse to visit the steam room. In particular, this procedure is not recommended for:

  • Urolithiasis.

  • Hives

Cloakroom for a bath

Many people who attend a steam room, think about what you can not go to the bath. Surprisingly, doctors recommend steaming completely naked - without sheets, towels and swimsuits. This advice is explained very simply: while staying in the steam room, the body very actively secretes sweat. And in the presence of clothing, it begins to be absorbed, respectively:

  • The body is not cooled as it should.
  • Toxins are not displayed.

But of course, if you are going to go to the bath not in a close family company, you need to be within the bounds of decency. Going into the steam room is:

  • In a headdress. In this case, you can only use products made from natural materials, in synthetics in the bath can not be. Prefer special bath hats made of felt or felt.

  • Decorations.
  • Contact lenses.

Of course, you need to grab a bathrobe, a few towels and a good mood in the sauna or bath.

The cardiovascular system

Most often the harm from visiting the bath affects the work of the heart. This is due to significant temperature differences that cause an increase in blood flow. Under the influence of high temperatures, the capillaries begin to expand, as a result, vessels that were not filled are included in the work. But it is worth a man to leave the steam room or plunge into cold water, as is the narrowing of blood vessels. Leaving cold water, the vessels expand again to give off excess heat. From these procedures, the body receives invaluable benefits, because it is a kind of gymnastics for blood vessels.

However, experts do not recommend people go to the bath. с заболеваниями кровеносной системы и сердца. Когда человек несколько раз заходит в парилку и выходит из неё, происходит изменение сворачиваемости крови, а это создает высокую нагрузку на сердце.Especially acutely react to such changes cores. Therefore, hypertensive patients whose blood pressure stably stays above 200 mm Hg. Art. not even worth thinking about going to the bath. You should not take unnecessary risks and people with a tendency to bleeding and thrombosis.

Kidney and Liver

People who want to improve the kidneys, bath procedures are more than shown. For these bodies it is an opportunity to get the long-awaited "rest". Being in the steam room, a person gets into conditions under which sweating increases. and it removes a significant part of the load from the kidneys. At the same time, the amount of urine production decreases, and this effect persists even several hours after leaving the bath. Similarly, the bath also affects the functioning of the liver, which also receives a “vacation”.

The increased temperature in the steam room makes it possible to relieve the gallbladder, as a result of which it increases the production of bile. But if you have been trying for a long time cure urolithiasis. jade, stones, tumors, water and electrolyte disorders and other diseases of the kidneys and liver, then you should not go to the bath.

Gastrointestinal tract

This body also responds positively to visiting the bath and sauna. Under conditions of high temperature, intestinal function is normalized, as it helps to eliminate toxins from it. In addition, increased heat reduces the likelihood of developing dysbacteriosis. But if you have chronic forms of inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatitis or peptic ulcer, do not risk in vain and refuse to visit the bath.

Muscles and Joints

Bath procedures are shown to people who are actively involved in sports, because it helps to quickly eliminate the effects of stress on muscles and joints. Warm air heals the muscles, cleansing them of toxins that cause discomfort and pain. At the same time, the joints are saturated with moisture, which allows increase the amount of joint fluid. Because of this, the joints become relaxed and no pain is felt in them. But for people with acute inflammation of arthritis, acute injuries and wounds hiking in the bath is contraindicated.

Skin diseases

It is contraindicated to steam people with skin diseases. Under this pathology is understood a lot of different ailments. Among them:

  • microbial and acute eczema,
  • rashes of unknown nature
  • skin tuberculosis, etc.

You can not bathe in the sauna for people with acute illnesses, especially viral, diabetes and with problems with the glands. If you know what you have claustrophobia or fear of a bath. then refrain from visiting it. If you unbearably want to strengthen your health, do it only under someone's supervision. Any fear is not normal, and it must be fought.

Special contraindications

The reason for refusing to go to the sauna can be not only poor health, but also other unpleasant reasons.

A person may get carbon monoxide gas if he decides to go to a bathhouse that has not been properly heated. Determine the presence of carbon monoxide in the air, you can only after its impact on your body, because it has neither smell nor color. If you are not careful, you may even die from your hindsight.

Another danger that may be waiting in a sauna is associated with overheating. Do not try to sit in the steam room for more than the time that your body can endure. For this you need focus on signs. which will help you understand that it is time for you to go outside:

  • dizziness,
  • nausea,
  • signs of fainting or loss of consciousness.

If you feel that one of the above symptoms starts, go outside as soon as possible. If you are too weak, then ask a person with you to help leave the steam room.

If you suddenly feel dizzy, then you just do not have enough strength to reach the door and you will faint right in the steam room.

After you manage to leave the steam room, you need to lie down in the waiting room and moisten your face with cool water. You should not experiment with your health, try to relax and relax, until your condition is normal. Having received such a strong blow to your health after a bath, you should have a good rest to recuperate. Therefore, we do not recommend this day to go into the steam room again.

A person can not feel safe due to the many different negative factors that can weaken the body. We strongly recommend not to overestimate their capabilities and goes to the steam room alone. If you have never been in a bath and do not know at what temperature it is better to visit it, then in case of dizziness you can simply die there. This happened very often with many experienced bath attendants who tried to prove their superiority to others.

While visiting a bath or sauna, the danger may overtake you where you do not expect it at all. It can be various fungi. with which you also need to be careful. To determine the infection with spores of the fungus can be by the presence of small cracks between the toes and on the heels. After a while, gray matter begins to emit from them. But usually few people pay attention to this, and in vain, because at this stage it is much easier to cure this ailment than a few weeks or months after the infection.

Human skin is a great place to conduct parasitic activity of microorganisms and fungi. But all fungi are different and their influence on people is also unequal. Therefore, in some people they may appear, while in others they may not. The most common infection occurs in people with weakened immune systems. But it is wrong to think that if you do not have symptoms of infection with a fungus, then you can be calm about your health. There are lots of other factors that can trigger fungus - for example, wearing narrow shoes, wounds and cuts. standing work. Therefore, you need to be attentive to your feet if you want to avoid problems.

The benefits of the bath have been known since ancient times, but this does not mean that everyone can be healed with the help of this ancient method. Some people may not benefit from going to the bath, but harm, so you should first familiarize yourself with the contraindications, otherwise bathing procedures can turn into an aggravation of old sores for you.

Who can not go to the bath

A hike to a bathhouse in Russia has always been perceived as a special action, since the bath has long been associated with the other world, with magic, and with recreational rituals. It is not surprising that, over time, a whole series of bath “taboos” arose, which it is undesirable to break.
Some have a completely rational explanation, others - the heritage of ancient superstitions. For example, with whom it is better not to go to the bath?

With a sick person

Although the bath in many cases is good for health, there are a number of contraindications according to which a visit to the bath is not recommended. For example, you should not do this for people with cardiovascular diseases, certain respiratory tract illnesses, endocrine problems (at least in the acute form). Such a person may have a seizure, and you have to pump it out.
You should also refrain from joint trips to the bath with patients with some kind of skin diseases or infections - you can easily get infected from such a person, especially if you use the same bath accessories.

With drunk

According to old legends, bath spirits - bannies - can not tolerate people in a drunken state and can tear off a skin from a drunkard alive.
In fact, the ban has also rational roots: a drunk can get stung, get burned or get some kind of injury. In general, if you went to the bath with a drunk, then wait for problems.

With a claustrophobic man

There are people suffering from fear of confined space. If a person is afraid, say, to ride in an elevator or stay in a closet, then you should not go to the bathhouse with him: yet this is quite a closed space, and it’s hot there.
On your satellite can roll attack, and you will not be very comfortable with him in the same room.

With an unmarried woman

In the old days, men first went to bathe, and only then women, since they were considered “unclean”. But in some regions there were other restrictions.

“In the Vladimir province, by the way, such a belief holds that to wash in baths is not a sin only for men’s wives, and it’s a sin for widows and girls:“ but if with a prayer, they are forgiven, ”says Maximov in the book“ Unclean, unknown and the power of the cross. It is clear that unmarried people were not forbidden to bathe in the bath at all, but they were not allowed to go there together with married women.

With a pregnant

Traditionally, Russian women gave birth in the bath. However, for pregnant women, the bath was considered dangerous: the bathing spirit of the female — Obericha — does not like expectant mothers; it can lash out and tear off skin.
If, however, affect the medical aspect, then during pregnancy is not recommended to visit the bath, if there are complications or the threat of miscarriage. If you find yourself in the steam room with a pregnant woman, then problems are not excluded.

With a stranger

"Despite the fact that" the bath is floating, the bath is to be governed, the bath will fix everything, "it has been recognized as an unclean place since ancient times, and after midnight it is even considered dangerous and scary: not everyone decides to go there, and everyone is ready to expect some kind of trouble accidental and unexpected meeting, ”scares Maximov.
Not only that a stranger met in a bathhouse or near it may turn out to be an attacker with bad intentions or a sorcerer (a bathhouse in the old days was often used for various sorcery rituals).

Not only that a stranger met in a bathhouse or near it may turn out to be an attacker with bad intentions or a sorcerer (a bathhouse in the old days was often used for various sorcery rituals).
It may be any otherworldly entity. So, if you believe bylichkami, sometimes unmarried girls performed a ritual on the “married-bastard”, inviting him to “wash in the bath”. As a result, under the guise of "betrothed" was the bannik itself.

Krynychnaya in the book “Russian mythology. The world of folklore images ”tells about the popular belief, according to which girls cursed by mothers become bath“ brides ”and are in a bath in prison at a bannik and Oderichi until a suitable groom appears:“ She catches a guy who has come to the bath at night, when he wants to take a "pebble" out of the stove, and offers himself to be his wife not without danger. The outcome is usually a foregone conclusion: "I had to hide at the obderich." Failure is impossible: it threatens misfortune. ”

By oneself

In the old days, people tried not to go to the bathhouse alone: they believed that a lonely person could easily become a victim of bath evil. “Having boasted that the stone from the stove will bring at midnight, inevitably a trial or cruel punishment awaits,” reports Krynichnaya. “The host,” who was washing after twelve o'clock, kills with a stone or launches stones at someone who came here late in the evening (they fly from the side of the heater).

“As it is said, in the bait of one mytz it’s impossible, obderich will ruin it, so it is. We have one smart woman saying:“ I’ll go alone to the third shift when mine’s donder. ”And she went. And there’s no hour, and there’s no other And they went after her, and she was driven into the awl under the floor, and the skin on the stove was hanging. “Odericha stripped”. "

If we discard beliefs, then the steam room - stress for the body. Suddenly you will feel bad, and there will be no one around? It is better to take bath procedures in the company.

Who will be good in the bath?

Steam can and should visit the core with organic heart disease, but not in the active phase of the inflammatory process. However, if you have heart failure, it is not recommended to go to the bath. Therefore, it is worth going to a bath for young women with various dysfunctions and for women during and after menopause. Dry steam saunas helps with hormonal deficiency or chronic inflammatory processes in the internal genital organs. In the bath, you can walk even with uncomplicated pregnancy until the very birth. And if you recall the story, then in Russia and gave birth in a hot soapy soap.
