Medicine Polysorb MP (hereinafter referred to as Polysorb) is a universal active sorbent with antacid properties. Polysorb perfectly binds various toxic substances and microorganisms during passage through the organs of the digestive system (stomach and intestines). This sorbent is universal because it is capable of binding and excreting metabolic products, microbial toxins, food allergens, drugs, poisons, etc. from the human body.

To date, the drug Polysorb is available under the official name "Polysorb MP", but the letters "MP" are often omitted for ease of speaking. Therefore, Polysorb and Polysorb MP are one and the same drug, which should be distinguished from Polysorb VP, which is a version of the drug for use in veterinary medicine.

Polysorb has a huge sorption capacity, due to which it is able to bind three times as many toxins as compared to aluminum-magnesium silicates (Smekta), methyl silicon oxides (Enterosgel, Sorbolong, Atoxil), lignins (Polyphepan, Lignosorb, Liferan) and activated carbon. Therefore, the scope of application of POLYSORB is very wide. Since it perfectly removes intoxication of any origin, it can be used as part of complex therapy for almost any pathology, including flu, colds, dermatosis, allergies, infections, etc.

Forms of release, composition and dosage

Today Polysorb is available only in one dosage form - powder for suspension for oral administration . For ease of use, the powder is sold in plastic cans of 12, 25 and 50 g and in double-layer plastic bags of 3 g. (Single dosage for an adult). Such options for filling dosage allow you to purchase the optimal amount of the drug.

Polysorb contains colloidal silicon dioxide as an active (sorbing itself) chemical substance. It does not contain any other components. Externally, Polysorb has the appearance of powder, painted white with a slight bluish tint. There is no smell. When polysorb is stirred in water, a white suspension is formed.

Therapeutic effects and action

Polysorb is a sorbent of inorganic origin. According to its properties, the drug is not selective, that is, it is able to sorb various classes of substances. Due to its non-specific activity, as well as its high sorption capacity, Polysorb has the following main therapeutic effects:
1. Sorption action.
2. Detoxifying action.

Actually, the detoxifying effect of Polysorb is due to its ability to bind a wide variety of substances, including toxins, and bring them outside. That is, the basis of detoxification with the help of Polysorb is its sorption action.

What is the ability to bind Polysorb? The sorbent binds and removes chemicals with toxic properties that are exogenous (exogenous) and formed in the body itself (endogenous). The drug is able to effectively bind and remove the following toxins:

  • pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi),
  • toxins secreted by pathogens,
  • alien antigens,
  • food allergens
  • drugs
  • poisons
  • heavy metal salts
  • radionuclides,
  • alcohol and its decay products.

In addition to the above listed toxic substances, Polysorb perfectly binds metabolic products formed in the human body itself. Often, an excess of these metabolic products leads to the development of unpleasant symptoms of intoxication and various diseases. So, Polysorb is able to excrete the following endogenous substances that are metabolic products:
  • bilirubin,
  • urea,
  • cholesterol,
  • lipid complexes,
  • biological substances that cause the development of endotoxemia.

The versatility of the binding capacity allows the use of Polysorb to eliminate intoxication of almost any origin - from poisoning to severe pathologies. This sorbent is an excellent tool that is included in the complex therapy of a huge number of diseases in Europe and the USA. The use of Polysorb can significantly reduce the amount and volume of drugs required for the qualitative treatment of many diseases.

Developed countries consider it necessary to use Polysorb even with banal flu or a cold, because the drug effectively binds toxins and relieves intoxication symptoms (muscle pain, weakness, apathy, dizziness, etc.). The experience of French doctors has shown that the use of Polysorb in the treatment of colds, flu and ARVI reduces body temperature without taking antipyretic drugs, and improves the subjective state, as well as shortens the time required for recovery.

Polysorb (Polisorb MP) - instructions for use

Polysorb is taken orally exclusively in the form of an aqueous suspension. For its preparation, the required amount of powder is poured into 50 - 100 ml (1/4 - 1/2 cup) of water, and quickly drunk.

Adults take Polysorb in the amount of 100 - 200 mg per 1 kg of weight, which is from 6 to 12 g of powder, which is razbaltyvayut in water. Adults can take the drug in a maximum daily dosage of not more than 20 g. Having calculated the daily amount of sorbent, this dosage is divided into 3 - 4 doses per day. To be convenient to calculate the dosage, you need to know that a full teaspoon ("with a slide") of powder contains 1 g of substance, and a tablespoon with a slide - 2.5 - 3 g. When collecting powder in a spoon from a can, you need to do it carefully, so as not to form a cloud of dust from Polisorb.

Polysorb is always taken one hour before meals or other drugs, or one and a half hours after. However, if the sorbent is taken for the purpose of alleviating food allergies, it should be taken immediately before a meal, or during. Do not prepare a large volume of suspension and store it in the refrigerator until the next intake. It is better to always prepare the suspension immediately before use.

The duration of the course of application of Polysorb is determined by the severity of the pathology and the speed of normalization of the human condition. For example, for the treatment of acute intoxications (alcohol, food poisoning, flu, etc.) it is enough to take a sorbent for 3 to 5 days. But for the treatment of allergic pathologies (for example, dermatitis, etc.) or chronic intoxications (for example, chronic renal failure, hepatitis, etc.) it is necessary to conduct courses lasting 10-14 days. Moreover, such courses should be repeated every 2 to 3 weeks. A break between the courses of sorbent use for less than 2 weeks cannot be done.

Consider the rules of the use of Polysorb for the treatment of various diseases.

Acute poisoning or food infection ("something ate something wrong")

The first step is to remove the maximum amount of toxins and poisons that have entered the body. To do this, it is necessary to conduct a gastric lavage with Polysorb suspension at a concentration of 1–2% (1–2 g of powder per 100 ml of water). After washing the stomach after 3 - 4 hours give another 6 g of Polysorb. The remaining 6 g of powder is divided into several stages in such a way that during the entire time remaining in the current day, a person receives a sorbent every 1 to 1.5 hours. Polysorb should be washed down with water, tea or Regidron, in order to replenish the liquid lost due to diarrhea.

If the poisoning or food infection is difficult, the gastric lavage is repeated at intervals of 4–6 hours, continuing the manipulation until the person’s condition begins to improve. Together with the gastric lavage, Polysorb is given orally by 2–3 g, 2–3 times a day.

On the second day after the start of treatment of poisoning or food infection, Polysorb is taken 4 times a day for 3 g. Then, depending on the state of the person, the sorbent is canceled or prolonged the course of application for another 3 to 5 days.

Well of useful substances

"Polisol" - natural extract of malts (sprouted grains) of barley, wheat, corn and oats, including:

  • Fifteen amino acids, of which eight are essential,
  • nine minerals
  • nine of the thirteen known vitamins.

Its great value lies in the unique biologically active properties of the germinated grain, which maximally accumulates all the nutrients. As a result, the content of vitamins, as compared with the usual grain, can grow up to 500% with simultaneous splitting of high-molecular compounds of proteins and starch, which impede the digestion of the product. So, for example, only 25 grams of polysol contain vitamin C in an amount equivalent to two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Comprehensive health in one spoon

Due to its powerful biogenic characteristics, the malt extract has a beneficial effect on all the vital systems of the body:

  • improves blood circulation, lowers cholesterol, prevents blood clots and strengthens the walls of blood vessels,
  • normalizes the work of the heart muscle and lowers blood pressure,
  • helps to improve gastrointestinal peristalsis, eliminate toxins, slags, radioactive substances and salts of heavy metals, which significantly reduces the risk of putrefaction and cancer,
  • strengthens the immune system, enhancing resistance to viruses and infections and having anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-allergic effects,
  • strengthens metabolic processes, stabilizes water-salt and acid-base balance, nourishes nerve cells and participates in the synthesis of hemoglobin,
  • improves bone tissue composition
  • improves the condition of hair, skin and nails by increasing the natural production of collagen,
  • stabilizes the functioning of the endocrine system, normalizing blood sugar levels and participating in the creation of glycogen stores,
  • helps to burn fat deposits, increase muscle mass, reduce appetite and convert fats and carbohydrates into energy, which effectively reduces weight,
  • increases the potency and sexual attraction in the male half and has a beneficial effect on ovulation, being an effective tool in the treatment of female infertility,
  • restores strength after prolonged illness and severe physical and mental stress.

Who is this product for?

Given the truly healing beneficial properties, polysol is recommended for use by all categories of persons. Its value is especially high for women during pregnancy and lactation, when the body is acutely deficient in iron and other vitamins and minerals. Inclusion in the diet of the malt extract during this period will allow you to avoid possible pathologies of fetal development, dispense with pharmacy vitamin complexes, reduce the number of generic complications and increase the production of breast milk.

Also, polysol can provide invaluable assistance to people, especially children who have problems with the digestive and hepatobiliary system. Regular use of this product can not only significantly increase the effectiveness of treatment, but also reduce the number of relapses and chronic exacerbations.

The uniqueness of malt extract also lies in the fact that it does not have absolute contraindications to its use. This means that practically anyone who does not have an individual intolerance to the product can experience the healing properties. If you have a history of hyperacid gastritis and diabetes, you should consult with your doctor about acceptable dosages.

Unless the specialist has recommended otherwise, polysol is used three times a day, a quarter of an hour before meals, one or two tablespoons and teaspoons for adults and children, respectively. The minimum course of treatment is 35 days, repeated in 30-60 days.

The ease of use and affordable price of the extract convincingly prove that taking care of one's health is available to everyone, regardless of their employment and financial possibilities.

Purulent wounds, burns and ulcers

For the treatment of these conditions, Polysorb is applied externally, to clean the wound and accelerate the healing process and restore the structure of tissues. To do this, during the period of the presence of purulent and necrotic masses, Polysorb powder is poured into the wound, a bandage of sterile bandage is placed on top and slightly wetted with water. After 3 - 4 hours change the bandage. Such dressings are applied until the wound is completely cleansed of purulent and necrotic masses. Then you can apply dressings with Methyluracil or Levomekol ointment on the wound, which accelerate healing.

Using Polysorb for long periods, that is, longer than 14 days, can lead to a deficiency of calcium and certain vitamins, since the process of their absorption into the blood from the intestinal lumen is disturbed. In this case, it is necessary to take multivitamin preparations and calcium prophylactically, or to take a break between courses of up to 14 days of taking Polysorb MP for at least 2-3 weeks.

Polysorb for children - instructions for use

Children Polisorb can be given from birth. In most cases, the drug is used for the treatment of various poisonings, food and intestinal infections, diathesis or allergic rashes, intestinal dysbiosis, which children suffer very often. That is why let us consider in detail how to apply Polysorb correctly at home for the treatment of these conditions in children.

With the development of signs of intoxication (headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, etc.), the right amount of the drug is stirred in water (half or a quarter cup), and the child is given a fresh suspension. Polysorb give 1 hour before meals or other drugs, or 1.5 hours after. For ease of dosing of the drug, you can apply the following ratios:

  • 1 teaspoon "with a hill" contains 1 g of powder,
  • 1 tablespoon "with a hill" contains 2.5 - 3 g of powder.

Polysorb dosage for children is calculated individually by body weight. A simple formula is used for this: weight of the child divided by 10 . The resulting figure will show the maximum allowable single dose of Polysorb. A single dose for a child can be used 3-4 times a day.
